Guests can float between four different spaces within the venue. The Social Kitchen served as our getting ready space. The huge windows let in a peak of natural light while the marble countertops gave Carla plenty of room for hair and make up.
Patterson Mansion’s Foyer serves as a stylish ceremony backdrop, with a view of Dupont Circle’s fountain framed through architectural columns. As guests wait for family photos to wrap up, they can head to the library for an intimate cocktail hour. The black walls exude the same sex appeal as a black silk dress, and they definitely inspired me to play with harsh light and more editorial posing during this session!
Hold the phone: were those moody, editorial photos really shot by me?! While not my typical bright and colorful style, I can’t get enough of the power that this session exudes.
