Summer Hanover Tavern Wedding | Cierra + Chris

This summer Hanover Tavern wedding was such a special celebration of love! Cierra and Chris tied the knot at this Richmond area venue with many of their close friends and family surrounding them. Because Chris lost his immediate family, this day was filled with so much emotion as he gained a whole new set of loved ones from Cierra. Cierra and Chris opted not to have a wedding party, instead focusing on creating intentional moments with the people who were closest to them. They each started the day getting ready with friends surrounding them, and the atmosphere in Cierra’s room was totally a blast! The couple works at an amazing local salon, so it was a no brainer that Cierra’s hair and makeup was done by a close friend. (If only we all had such talented people in our lives, right?)
Can we have a moment for Cierra’s bridal look? She really knocked it out of the park with her style. I’m obsessed with her classic gown paired with that flat brimmed hat, adding a modern touch. A timeless look with a pop of trend never really gets old.Cierra chose to share a first look with her dad, it’s a moment that all brides should consider because spending that time alone before the craziness of the day happens is incredibly bonding and special. (These two really had a special connection, just wait until you see their first dance at the end of this post. So sweet!) After their first look, Cierra gave her dad a little gift to commemorate the day before walking down the aisle together.
The weather was perfectly sunny for Cierra and Chris’s ceremony and how original is their backdrop? Embroidery hoops with lace is incredibly creative and added to the festive feel. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when it came time for their first kiss and everyone cheered them down the aisle, applauding loudly when they snuck in one more smooch before leaving their ceremony.
