With less than 24 hours notice, Christina and Zach found me online and hired me to photograph their elopement in Virginia Beach right on the waterfront of Sandbridge Beach. Talk about coming in clutch!

With so little time to prep, we hopped on the phone briefly while Christina finished her hair and make up so that we could be on the same page about she and Zach wanted photographed during their 3 hours of coverage time and then hit the ground rolling to knock out their formal photos, ceremony, and cake cutting. Joined by friends and family from Tennessee in a beach house, these two felt that photos to commemorate such a big moment in their lives was a non-negotiable. You won’t want to miss the way that this intimate elopement came together so quickly in a way that felt so personalized to Christina and Zach!

“Kyra was magical for sure! We booked her last minute due to another photographer backing out last minute (made me go crazy  before the wedding) and we are so happy with her work! She was so understanding and helpful and took the time to figure out what we were looking for within the short time she had to plan. She came in and hit the ground running with our crazy family! We had a beach house with family and friends and did our ceremony on the beach. Also I’m very awkward when it comes to pictures… I hate being in the spotlight but she gave me direction for the posed ones and the candid ones turned out great!! Highly recommend her for your wedding or any kind of shoot really. She made us so comfortable and is easy to get along with.”

Just because Christina and Zach pulled this day together quickly doesn’t mean that they needed to feel rushed! I always make sure to create a quiet space for my clients during portraits where they can relax into each other – away from their guests! – and feel more comfortable in front of the camera.
