Emily and Tara’s sunrise engagement session at the Lincoln Memorial was the perfect full-circle moment for their love story. The Lincoln had long been one of their favorite weekend spots: lattes in hand, Bandit trotting ahead, and the calm of the Reflecting Pool often setting the tone for their Saturday mornings. So, when the idea came up to finally catch a sunrise there—something they'd talked about for ages—it felt like the perfect time and place for something special.
Emily was all in for the early morning, and a few hours later, she was all in on forever with Tara too. Not long after, Emily proposed back - this time in the cozy comfort of their living room, another space that meant so much to them.
Their engagement session captured all of that: soft light, genuine connection, and a love story rooted in real life. It was romantic without being fussy, modern yet timeless and the perfect lead-up to their spring wedding under the magnolia trees at The Virginia House.
